Love From Scratch Decadent Oatmeal
1 1/3 cup steel-cut oats (basically just not instant!)
1 2/3 cups milk
1 cup shredded carrots
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
I always add chopped nuts and raisins, but you can also add coconut, or dried cranberries, or chocolate chips, whatever sounds good.
In a saucepan bring all ingredients, except the oats to a boil. Once the ingredients are at a rolling boil add the oats and cook until it thickens up, should be about 5 minutes.
